Mrs. Jackie Hudson
Welcome to my website! Here is a little about me...
The 2013/2014 school year will be the beginning of my sixth year at Yake Elementary. My position as the Early Intervention consultant involves working with struggling readers in the first and second grade.
I graduated from Western Michigan University with my Bachelors and later went on to Madonna University to complete my Masters program in Special Education. I have also had extensive training with Wayne RESA in the SELCT program. (Special Education Literacy Connections Training)
My hobbies include reading, walking my dogs, vacationing in Grand Haven, Michigan every summer, and spending time with my family. I have been married for 19 years to my husband Kirk, and we have two wonderful daughters, Caroline and Michelle.
This year, I am very excited to announce the beginning of a wonderful program. Wall-E, a beautiful Golden Retriever, will be the first ever Reading Therapy dog in the Woodhaven-Brownstown school district. Wall-E will come to school with me each day and serve as a comfort and motivation for students with reading difficulties.
I am very excited to begin this program and hope it makes a difference in your child's reading experience.
